A Labourdin-style chapel nestled on the corner of a street leading to the Bergerie hill in Cambo-les-Bains
During your visit to the Cambo spa town, don't miss this little chapel nestled on the corner of a street leading to the hill of la bergerie. As soon as you enter the Labourdin-style building, you'll marvel at the stained-glass windows, the abstractly patterned glass slabs and, above all, the interior facades with icons evoking scenes from biblical life: the Baptism of Christ, the Dormition surrounded by apostles and angels. These works are the work of Basque artist Albert Proux, who used an episcope to draw inspiration from Russian Orthodox frescoes.
