À LA BONNE AUBERGE
Restaurant with quality menus where the beef cheek is the least expensive
Taken over by the Couanon couple, who succeeded the Natier-Mariel Adrien family (who had run it since 1957), À La Bonne Auberge continues to live up to its name, attracting shoppers who particularly appreciate its Virginia creeper-covered façade. Recently renovated, the rooms offer all modern comforts as well as the sacrosanct connections with the world. As for the restaurant's three dining rooms, they are warm and inviting. The menus are of the highest quality, starting with the least expensive of them all, the Logis, especially for its beef cheek parmentier and its cream beaten with fromage blanc accompanied by orange segments (on the other hand, its mussel gratin is slightly lacking!). Clearly, and having tried it several times, this restaurant has only one flaw: the service (of the wine, in particular) is too often entrusted to "jeunettes" who are not up to the task of serving what's on the plates...
