CHÂTEAU DU BAS DU GAST
A superb private mansion built in 1742 at the initiative of the royal receiver of the Laval salt granaries, a certain Mr. du Mans de Chalais, the Château du Bas-du-Gast has been welcoming, since 1989, paying guests who enjoy staying in a furnished setting with a great concern for historical truth. Now held by a former flight attendant who has returned to live in her hometown, Véronique Gläzer, this high-place of good taste and the art of living offers a royal suite of two rooms of 50 m² each with two pairs of doors that are unique in their kind! In addition, any stay in this place located two countries away from the public library also allows for an unforgettable visit: an enchanting park of 5,760 m² harmoniously divided into four gardens "à l'anglaise" and "à la française".
