Since 1945, a neighbourhood party has brought together hundreds of onlookers, usually the first weekend of June: the Ford of Orger. It was created for a specific purpose: to celebrate Hitler's death (alias "Uncle Adolf", as he was called at the time). But its success was such that there was a 1946 edition, then a 1947 edition… And for nearly 70 years it's been hard! With an exceptional taste, that of 26 June 1966 and the passage of the tour of France with Jacques Anquetil (stage Caen-Angers). For info, this Ford of Orger, based on the historical trials on the city and the country of Laval, owes the first part of its name to the fact that the stream that crosses it is a ford. Which was replaced by a stone bridge during the creation of the Route road whose work began in 1750. Orger could be the name of a recreational property of Bourg Hersent, a property of Hersende, a lady of Ford, of Bourg, of Bourg, and wife of Guy II of Laval.
