Located in the Saint-Nicolas district, this retirement house comprises 192 places, 88 of which are in residential housing. For a long time, the name of the Coconnière was changed, which the hospital changed when it became owner (in the memory of Les Laval, the name referred to an asylum for the needy). The house then received that of a woman who would be canonized in 2009 by Benedict XVI, Jeanne Jugan, who founded the congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor who led the hospice of the Coconnière until 1970.
