GRANDFATHER'S HOUSE
Built around 1554 by a wealthy merchant in Laval, Jacques Marest, this beautiful house draws its name from a succession of terracotta figurines long identified to hunters and animals on the couille. At the beginning of the Renaissance, it retains the exuberance of the motifs and the richness of the decoration; human figures reminiscent of the Old Castle structure the ensemble in a still very archaic vertical power (reminiscent of Gothic art).
