Small museum in Laval, immersing visitors in a school atmosphere, with rooms recreating a classroom from the 1900s-1920s
Housed in a former school (Henri-Chantrel) closed in 1970, this small museum plunges us into the school atmosphere of our forebears. One of the rooms recreates a classroom from the 1900s-1920s, with desks and a desk-chaire, school rifles to prepare yesterday's youngsters to take back Alsace and Lorraine... Not forgetting several mannequins, including a larger-than-life teacher in period costume... Don't miss the pen-and-ink workshop!
