BOSTON SQUARE
Before bearing the name of Boston (in 1959), this place created in 1864 was called "square walks of change". In 2013, almost a century and a half later, this square remains a popular place for the locals to stroll there on Sunday, in a family and digestive walk. It also hosts very popular events: Les during the Holidays and, beginning December, the Christmas market. In 2011, the City redesigned it by removing many of its plane and the hedges that allowed hikers not to be seen on the street. It now looks like a large esplanade lined with groves and lawns where the onlookers like to sit on sunny days. Other innovations: a playground for children has been installed, the bandstand (opened in 1879) has been beautifully restored and the "grove" is shining from a thousand fires at night thanks to carefully placed small lamps…
