LE BAC DU MÉNIL

Since 1837, the inhabitants of the commune have used a ferry to cross the Mayenne and reach the other bank in the direction of the village of Coudray. The Ménil ferry has become an attraction in the department, linking this pleasant town to its neighbors on the other side, Daon and Coudray. Needless to say, these 80 m of river crossing are very popular with tourists, who sometimes use it with their car, their bike, their motorcycle or their horse! In the past, there were many ferrymen all along the Mayenne. Nowadays, only the ferry of Ménil remains.
