An imposing granite Monument, the Basilica of Pontmain was completed on 10 May 1888. A century later, in 1998, it was the rose, 65 m high, that was blessed. The diocesan commission chose the work of Bernard Renouncing the Temple of Brittany. The arrows house a carillon of Flemish origin of 39 bells, the stained glass windows represent the life of Notre-Dame. The Chapel of Lights, under the porch, is open day and night. Candles burn there constantly.

belle église
au coeur d'un petit village de quelques centaines d'habitants, cette grande basilique peut surprendre, mais elle témoigne de la popularité de Pontmain chez de nombreux habitants de la région (et au delà). Beaux vitraux, donnant une lumière une peu bleutée. Les Pères OMI desservent cette église construite après l'apparition de 1870, dans les années 1880.
