THE CENTRE FOR SACRED ART
The contemporary Centre of Contemporary art wants, through temporary exhibitions, publications, lectures, to publicize all new expressions of art from painting and sculpture to photography and video. During his opening in 1999, he focused on the theme of sacred art (Pontmain is one of the Marian appearances). But, for a few years, he has decided to diversify and devote himself to all forms of contemporary art. Each year, the Art Centre hosts two artists in residence as a result of a call for applications launched each summer (which attracts 150 and 200 candidates each year). The residences are followed by an exhibition that presents works produced during this period and older works of artists. It may well be that, by random stopping at the Pontmain art centre, you can discover the universe of an artist in exposure and exchange with him.
