SAINT VINCENT'S CHURCH
Baroque Basque church, with a magnificent square, with an octagonal bell tower, topped by a triple eight-sided roof
Built in 1555 and enlarged in the 17th century, it is a marvelous example of a Basque church in the Baroque style, with a magnificent closed square decorated with an 18th century monolithic cross. Note the originality of its octagonal bell tower, unique in the region, which houses three bells and is topped by a triple eight-sided roof. Take the small staircase offering a splendid view of the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Ciboure. Above the baptismal font, under the organ, a plaque recalls a major event: "Here, on March 13, 1875, was baptized Maurice Ravel".
