Socoa beach has been awarded the Handiplage Level 3 label
There are five beaches in Ciboure, superb fine-sand beaches that are among the finest on the Basque coast: Plage du Carré, Plage du Port, Plage des Dériveurs (forbidden for bathing and reserved for boat launching only), Plage du Fort, with lifeguard surveillance, and finally Plage de Socoa, which has been awarded the Handiplage Level 3 label (for information, call the first-aid post on 05 59 47 05 66). Protected by the bay's dykes, they are supervised during the summer season and guarantee bathing all year round.
