CARNOT STREET, N°10
Go there and contact
A street in La Ferté-Bernard, distinguished by its beautiful half-timbered house and its pilgrim and mermaid sculptures.
Next to Les Halles, discover an old inn with a magnificent facade, that of a half-timbered house, one of the oldest in the city and certainly the most beautiful. Sculptures of a pilgrim and a mermaid, grotesques, Saint Stephen and his executioners. These sculptures represented the commercial activity of the establishment, which was certainly originally a tavern. A must in the city centre and its most photographed façade. Take a few steps forward to also admire the façade of number 7.
