Wine, in Béarn, is one of the jewels of the terroir and as such, Madiran and Pacherenc Vic-Bilh amply deserve a day dedicated to them! There are several of them and there are many appointments, both for these two vintages and for the Jurançon. But the Open Day in Madiran deserves to be highlighted. Already, it takes place in 30 different places to meet the owners of castles, of such a varied domain. From the morning, guided tours are organized in the cellars with free tastings of the great wines of the cellar. The hiking trails are marked out and it is already a walk that is a pure delight. A brunch is then offered and in the afternoon, a tasting workshop is conducted in a good mood. Each year, a theme is chosen and often highlights certain local producers of cheese or other local products. These open doors, beyond the tastings, are an opportunity to meet the women, men and families who, thanks to their wine, make Béarn shine in France and around the world, so come and meet them and discover their history and identity!
