Restaurant with terrace specializing in grilled meats on vine shoots
It's a safe bet that Henri, the manager's grandfather, was a lover of good meat. In dedicating this place to his grandfather, the restaurateur has specialized in grilling on vine shoots. Although little known here, this method of cooking meat has proved its worth in wine-growing regions. The wood used to prune the vines is an ideal fuel for barbecues, giving the meat an inimitable aroma.
Meat is served grilled, with a fresh herb sauce and homemade fries. If you don't like beef or prefer white meat, let yourself be tempted by a coteaux-du-loir sausage, made by one of Le Mans' finest charcutiers, or a grilled fish with baby vegetables and sauce vierge.
The restaurant's pleasant dining room is decorated in the elegant style of a Parisian brasserie. In summer, the large, bright terrace at the back is well worth a visit.
