Authentic restaurant with traditional cuisine in the heart of Old Mans
Le Fou du Roy is located in the former Hôtel de la Monnaie, in the Plantagenet City. The building dates back to the Middle Ages, and the decor of the dining room has retained the atmosphere of the period, with tapestries, candlesticks and a stuffed owl hidden on one of the ceiling beams. With its main dining room and basement, the cuisine is traditional and hearty, with a mix of fish and meat dishes that change with the seasons (scallops, salmon, beef sirloin, veal kidney fricassee, duck leg confit, chicken fillet with sweetbreads...). Desserts include classics such as tarte Tatin, chocolate fondant, pain perdu and ice cream.

Seul bémol, le serveur, seul en salle, malgré l'effort, nous sentons qu'il n'a pas très envie d'être là...
On s'y sent bien.
