Welcoming establishment near the train station with carefully prepared menus and dishes on the slate
A place well worth a visit on the outskirts of the station. The welcome is perfect, the owners and staff charming and attentive, and you immediately feel at home in the heart of the trendy gray and purple decor. Original: the menus and dishes are written in large chalk on the back slate wall, and the forks and knives are placed horizontally. For starters, try peeled prawns in coconut milk with diced Roquefort, or celery remoulade with mussels and Indian sauce. It's famous, and the plates are extremely tidy and well presented. For main courses, try the grilled veal skirt steak with green pepper sauce or the forest guinea fowl supreme parê with curried cauliflower. Excellent, and we were impressed by the quality of the sauces. Finally, a real chocolate moelleux with mint crême anglaise topped off our taste buds. And don't forget that the wine list (presented like a spiral-bound easel calendar) is just as varied, with a selection of quality vintages. The upstairs dining room can accommodate groups. We highly recommend this address. You're only 10 minutes from the city center, so a little detour is inevitable! We guarantee you won't be disappointed.
