CITÉ DU CIRQUE

In 2008, the Sablons swimming pool was definitively closed and transformed into a circus school. Young and old (from 3 years old) can learn here to juggle (with scarves, skittles, devil's staff...), to balance on objects (ball, stilts, unicycle...), to do acrobatics (pyramid, hand to hand, tumbling...) and to do aerial acrobatics (flying trapeze, fabric, rope...). The students showcase their talents at the end of the year in a performance for their families in the school garden (capacity of 400 people). La Cité du Cirque - Marcel Marceau also welcomes artists in residence or who come to train freely. Sessions are open to the public throughout the year to follow their work. We organise circus workshops for children from 3 to 13 years old during all school holidays, and we also offer circus workshops adapted to specific audiences (schoolchildren, senior citizens, young children, disabled people, etc.). The students of the school also perform every year, for free, all June in the festival "Le Mans fait son cirque".
