LE MANS FAIT SON CIRQUE
It's the big summer event for circus performers, paying tribute every June to an important part of Le Mans.
Created in 2001 and organized by Le Plongeoir, Pôle national Cirque Le Mans, with the City of Le Mans, this festival takes over the Sablons - Bords de l'Huisne district, on La Promenade (a stone's throw from Le Chapiteau and La Cité du Cirque). It offers a snapshot of contemporary circus creation, from the most intimate to the most spectacular. The program includes some twenty contemporary circus shows, under the big top, indoors and outdoors, concerts, professional meetings, training courses, practical activities and all the extras that make the festival a unique experience. It's the flagship event of the French summer circus season.
