ENTRE COURS ET JARDINS
An event full of charm and poetry, during which you can discover the secret gardens of the Plantagenet City.
Certified by the Société nationale d'horticulture, this plant festival celebrating the art of gardening takes place every year in the very heart of the Plantagenet City. The organizing association, with the support of the town's Tourism and Heritage Department, brings together the owners of small, secret and picturesque gardens in the old town, who agree to open their gardens to the public each year (attendance 15-20,000).
For the past ten years, horticulturalists, florists, musicians, puppeteers, visual artists and decorative architects have taken the old town by storm and, as if by magic, in one night and for one weekend only, offer a feast for the eyes, a sensory journey. The heritage setting is sublimated, as if reinvented. You can wander from garden to garden, from walled garden to walled garden, through the courtyards of private mansions, taking shortcuts down flower-filled staircases and bucolic secret passages that run alongside orchards, vineyards and simple gardens. The world of plants and flowers competes in elegance with these old doors and heavy leaves, creating a dizzying dialogue with architecture every year.
