MUSÉE JEAN-CLAUDE-BOULARD-CARRÉ PLANTAGENÊT
Plantagenet Square in Le Mans, with its pure architecture, presenting collections of emblematic local objects through 5 eras
In a space of 3,300 m², 1,200 are dedicated to the presentation of permanent collections and 300 to temporary exhibitions. The collections presented in this archaeology museum tell the story of the town through five periods: prehistory, protohistory, the Gallo-Roman period, the early Middle Ages and medieval Maine. The architecture of the building is resolutely contemporary. Each part of the building presents local emblematic objects.

The didactic course is interesting; the number of restored and exposed remains does not miss; there is even a little too: pots, jugs... to finish moreover it.
But it is a beautiful museum on the history of the city and region until the Middle Ages.
