Pierre-de-Ronsard and Jacques-Peletier Gardens
The buildings surrounding these small medieval gardens (the Collège Saint-Pierre-la-Cour, the Royal Palace) allowed them to be classified at historic monuments (such as the Gourdaine and Des Gardens). They are separated by a staircase named bridge des Pont-Neuf, allowing access to the southern end of the city Plantagenet. On the east side, the Jacques Lorette garden offers a perfect setting for rest: a lawn, a blossoming flower and a modern sculpted fountain, close to a few benches. From this garden, the top of Saint-Julien Cathedral is visible. On the west side, the garden Pierre-de-Ronsard (the heart of which a sculpture of the city) recalls typical English gardens: small winding alleys between massive mountains. It is intended to be more pleasant. The impressive building at the Saint-Pierre-la-Cour college overlooks it.
