This house is one of the emblematic residences of the old town.
This curious 16th-century house once adjoined the former Saint-Pavin-de-la-Cité church, which was destroyed during the French Revolution. An atypical house, it was often portrayed by painters and photographers, notably Doisneau(La Maison qui volait, 1962). It's a simple room lit by two windows facing each other. It is built of half-timbered walls. Although modest in size, it is one of the emblematic homes of the old town.
