THE HALLS AND THE THEATRE
This building was dedicated to the marketing of cloth and meats
Built in 1818 in front of the grain stop, this building was dedicated to the marketing of canvas and meat. During the fall of the hemp industry, these halles were decommissioned, before they were set up in 1851… a theater! It retains this second vocation: A holiday room occupies the ground floor, the theater of the Rex with its two balconies is set upstairs. The Rex acts as a showroom. It is one of the few Italian theaters still active in France. It offers excellent programming. It is in this original site that the European film festival takes place.
