This factory, backed by the hillside, produced quicklime for agriculture and building by exploiting the magnesium limestone of the Regale quarry. We see the guesthouse at the top of the pyramid stack, at the level of the career, where the limestone, the marg and the coal were dumped alternating. This lime kiln of Jocaillé and La Pierre was owned by the lords of Vassé was already active in 1777. Auguste Osou ensured his reconstruction in 1865.
