Castle built in 1686 for Charles Bailly, adviser to the king's high council, a rich décor with terracotta floors and panelling
The plans of Simeon Garangeau, architect of Louis XV, who realized, among other things, the fortifications of Saint-Malo date from 1685. This small rural seigneury was built for Charles Bailly, advisor to the King's Grand Council, in 1686. The latter is said to have inspired the poet Scarron for one of his characters as well as his mother-in-law, caricatured as Madame Bouvillon. The castle was little changed in the eighteenth century. It retains a rich decor from these two periods: terracotta floors, panelling. The castle can be partly visited during the Heritage Days. Go on the Grand-Lucé road and stop at the level of the wash-house to see its beautiful facade.
