THE SUNDIAL

Within the Gothic Church of Saint-Médard, of the thirteenth century, there is a beautiful solar dial dated from 1699 and unique in France since it is the only signed Father Andréas Valiquet. At the age of 74 at that time, this abbot had to build others but this dial is the only one currently known. At the horizontal origin, this dial had to be placed in the gardens of the presbytery, which had a church or college. It was subsequently sealed inside and vertically. Andréas Valiquet died a year later, he was the vicar and the teacher of the village.
