CHÂTEAU DE SAINT-PATERNE
Stay in a castle with a superb park at the gates of the Orne.
This 15th-century castle, which is really discovered after passing through the gate, is truly beautiful. At about thirty minutes from Le Mans, at the gateway to the Orne, the trip is worth it. You’ll see, it’s signposted. You enter the domain of Charles-Henry and Ségolène de Valbray. For the record, this family castle was home to the loves of Henri IV. How about yours? The decoration in all the rooms is a clever mix between the charms of the past like a bathtub with lions’ feet and the elegance of the contemporary. The fabrics are all very well chosen, fabrics such as velvet breathe sensuality. Some rooms have exposed beams and one of them even has a large staircase to get to its bathroom. We love all this charm and we only want one thing: to lie down softly to fully enjoy the place. The lounges are remarkable for their refinement. And take a walk in the magnificent 10-hectare park.
