SILLÉ PLAGE
The 32 ha lake in the heart of the state forest of Sillé (3,350 ha of greenery) has a sandy beach, the famous Coco Plage - 4 km from Sillé city center - which awakened generations of bamboo to pleasures of swimming. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Gabriel Richefeu, nicknamed Coco, opened a bar on the afternoons which later became a Guingud. We are talking about Coco beach. Unfortunately in 1944 the site was destroyed by bombing. Mr. Richefeu decides on his reconstruction. Today, the beach, monitored in July and August, is complemented by an important recreation area. This green space offers many activities. You can walk on foot (the site is on the GR 36), take the little train, swim, canoe, play tennis, take a variety of water sports, driftboats, pedal boats, fishing (fishing card on site or at the Tourist Office), make mountain bike, discover the new labyllic Saint-Rémy-de-Sillé corn rinse (every afternoon from mid-July to mid-September). On the spot, possible restoration, but also hire bicycle hire to leave on a route that joins Crissé. When you were told that the site is very complete!
