LAUNDRY CYCLE
By mid-nineteenth century these two lagoons were in service for the laundry of the village housewives. They were used until the mid -1970 s. The rue de la Fontaine, on the road to Saint-Léonard, was restored several years ago. Attenant at the Manoir de l 'Escole Corbin, private property, the lace of the same name has just been restored with the help of the Memory and Heritage Association de Sougé. Other lagoons are visible in nearby villages including Saint-Georges-le-Gaultier, Saint-Paul-le-Gaultier, and especially Saint-Léonard-des-Bois, which houses a magnificent and fully covered and murked fountain.
