A zoo with a wide variety of animals and a playground to delight the little ones.
Some ten kilometers from Le Mans, on the way to Angers, you'll find six hectares of natural space, home to some 180 species and 700 animals of great diversity. Birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals from the four corners of the earth live together, making this park unique. The park's name comes from the fact that it is home to some very rare "specific" species of animal: have you ever heard of the potorou? the euplecte? the douroucouli? New residents arrive every year, including dingoes, opossums, agoutis and armadillos, all of which you can learn about through a wide range of activities and workshops. The aviary is impressive. You can feed the birds and they'll land on you and eat out of your hands. Children love it. It's soothing. Tunnels allow the little ones to immerse themselves in snakes and other creatures! The Nocturama lets you observe nocturnal animals in action, such as bats. Regular shows include otters, pelicans, gibbons, lemurs, puppets and, at the end of the day, Darwin. Picnics, refreshments and ice creams are also available. Fun play areas delight the little ones. Spaycific'Zoo is a fabulous place for a family day out.
