Covering 145 hectares, it's the largest forest on the island of Noirmoutier. It begins as soon as you cross the bridge, facing the ocean. Just a stone's throw from the Boucholeurs beach, the Frandière forest plays a central role in the ecosystem: the last rampart facing the ocean, after the beach and the dune belt. With its long stretches, often overlooking the sea, it makes a wonderful hiking area.
