LES VINS DE BREM
The vine was introduced in the Brem area by the Romans who came to buy salt in the Olonnes marshes. Its cultivation was developed in the 9th and 10th centuries under the impulse of the abbeys of the region. At the beginning of the 17th century, it was encouraged by Richelieu, Bishop of Luçon, who appreciated the wines of this region and had them served at his table. He gave them titles of nobility, which is why the superior wines harvested in this region were called "wines of the cardinal's fiefs". AOC wines to be tasted in a cool cellar.
