At around 7 metres high, this rock is a symbol of the jagged coastline of Brétignolles-sur-Mer.
From the Brétignolles-sur-Mer corniche, before arriving at La Parée, you can see the enormous Rocher Sainte-Véronique, a natural monolith some 7 metres high, which has defied storms and tempests for centuries. It used to stand 6.50 metres high, but part of the tip collapsed in the early 1960s (from around 1.20 m to 1.30 m) during a high tide. The Sainte-Véronique rock is emblematic of the jagged coastline of Brétignolles-sur-Mer.
