Lighthouse classified as a historical monument, consisting of a lenticular device of 0.25 m focal length at La Barre-de-Monts.
At the beginning of the 20th century, it was decided to install a lighthouse. A single light, consisting of a lenticular device with a focal length of 0.25 m, installed in a lantern surmounting a metal turret, located on the dunes of Notre-Dame-de-Monts. Installed in Fromentine in 1915, the turret was completed with accessories (guard's shelter) around 1919. It was electrified in 1939. Initially designed for the Pointe du Raz, the lighthouse turret was moved to the Saint-Nazaire pier, before its definitive place in Fromentine, in 1915. Classified as a historical monument.
