OUEST FRANCE
France's leading regional daily newspaper, and indeed the leading one at that. Ouest-France is a regional daily newspaper published in Rennes and sold in the western regions of France, mainly in Brittany, Normandy, and the Pays de la Loire, as well as in Paris. In 1944, Ouest-France took over from L'Ouest-Eclair, a newspaper founded on 2 August 1899, which was banned from publication at the Liberation for collaboration. In the Vendée, there are 5 editions: La Roche-sur-Yon, Challans/Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Les Sables-d'Olonne, Les Herbiers/Montaigu, Fontenay-le-Comte/Luçon.
