Here we present the best seaside campsites in the Vendée!

1. Camping Paradis La Grand' Métairie, Saint-Hilaire-la-Forêt

Camping Paradis La Grand' Métairie is for you if you're looking for a quiet, family-friendly campsite. It's 6 km from the beach. If swimming is more pressing, you can also take advantage of the swimming pool, which adds to the many activities such as pétanque, soccer, ping-pong, parties and much more. It's also a farm campsite, with a vegetable garden, tractor andanimals that your children will love to feed. As for accommodation, you can choose between mobile homes, chalets, tent lodges and bare pitches. In short, Camping Paradis La Grand' Métairie is truly one of the best seaside campsites in the Vendée!

2. Camping le Caravan'île, La Guérinière, Noirmoutier

If you're looking for a seaside campsite in the Vendée,this is one of the best, with direct access to the sea just 50 m away. There's also a 1,000m2 heated water park, a wellness area with spa, massages, hammam and jacuzzi, a sports area, shops and plenty of entertainment. It's a great way to spend your vacation, and there's plenty to do in Noirmoutier too. Indeed, it's here, on one of France's top beach destinations, that Le Caravan'île is anchored, a superb 5-star campsite. Here you can rent pitches, mobile homes and some unusual accommodation.

3. Yeu Island municipal campsite, L'île d'Yeu

Just 30 minutes by boat from the mainland, Yeu Island is one of Vendée's must-see destinations. Its municipal campsite is ideally located, with direct access to the seafront. Take advantage of the many facilities on offer: ping-pong tables, boulodrome, children's playground, WiFi, barbecue, board games, laundry... You can also explore the Ile d'Yeu, in particular Port-Joinville, just 1.5 km away. The campsite has several mobile homes, converted tents, chalets and even an unusual boat in which to sleep! The icing on the cake: the Ile d'Yeu municipal campsite has been awarded the "Clef Verte" label, as a result of real efforts to protect the environment.

4. Camping Côté Plage, Saint-Jean-de-Monts

Camping Côté Plage is located in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, in the heart of a typical Vendée landscape between the Atlantic and the marshes. It's the perfect base for exploring the region, but also for relaxing by the beach, just 200 m away. Add to this the wide range of services offered by this 3-star establishment, such as an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and plenty of entertainment for all the family, and you've got one of the best seaside campsites in the Vendée. You'll also have plenty of time toexplore Saint-Jean-de-Monts, one of the department's most beautiful resorts. As far as accommodation is concerned, you can opt for a bare pitch, a mobile home or a chalet.

5. Camping Les Dinosaures, Talmont-Saint-Hilaire

Camping Les Dinosaures is a quiet, reasonably-sized campsite, perfect for vacations with children. It has two swimming pools, one indoor, the other outdoor, with slides and a playground. As for the sea, it's only 800 m away and offers some very beautiful beaches on the Côte de Lumière. For overnight stays, you can choose from a range of cottages and mobile homes. You can also leave the campsite to explore the rich local area by bike or car, including a visit to Les Sables-d'Olonne, universally regarded as one of the finest seaside resorts in the Vendée.

6. Camping La Siesta, L'Aiguillon-la-Presqu'île

It's all in the name: at La Siesta, you can enjoy a relaxing, peaceful vacation. It's one of the best campsites with a swimming pool in the Vendée, with a heated indoor and outdoor pool area and waterslide. It's located 1.6 km from the beaches, with direct access via a path through a protected natural area. When it comes to sleeping, you'll be spoilt for choice between mobile homes, chalets, apartments and bare pitches for your tent or camper van.

7. Camping Huttopia, Noirmoutier-en-l'Île

Huttopia is a campsite located on the island of Noirmoutier, which is committed to reconnecting with its natural surroundings. The site is covered in pine forests, which the campsite offers you to explore by bike, and why not pedal to the beaches just 1 km away, in particular that of Les Sableaux, one of the most beautiful in the region. The campsite is so close to the sea that some pitches are almost on the beach! You'll be able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves, making it undoubtedly one of the best seaside campsites in France. You'll also be just ten minutes from the heart of Noirmoutier-en-l'Île.

8. Parfums d'Été campsite, Jard-sur-Mer

Camping Parfums d'Été is perfect for those looking for an unusual experience, offering not only the classic bare pitches and mobile homes, but also trailers and ecolodges. All accommodation is set in the shade of old oak and pine trees, just 400 m from the sea. This family-run campsite is ideal for nature lovers, but also for those looking to organize a surfing retreat, as the local beaches are renowned spots. Other on-site activities include a playground, outdoor sports machines, a pétanque court, a swimming pool and plenty of entertainment.

9. Camping La Belle Henriette, La Tranche-sur-Mer

Set in the heart of the marshes, La Tranche-sur-Mer is one of our favorite destinations, as it remains very authentic, as well as being perfect for water sports enthusiasts, particularly windsurfers, thanks to favorable ocean conditions. It's also a well-known surfing spot for beginners and advanced surfers alike. La Belle Henriette campsite is perfect for them, being just 400 m from the beaches. It offers a natural, family atmosphere that's perfect for relaxation, as it's part of a protected nature reserve that you can cross on a wooden platform. This 4-star campsite offers 1- to 3-bedroom mobile homes, pitches and unusual accommodation.

10. Camping Les Ramiers, Longeville-sur-Mer

Although a 2-star campsite, Camping Les Ram iers is one of the best campsites in the Vendée. It's located 1.5 km from the sea, which you can reach via direct access through the forest. Situated in a particularly unspoilt area, it offers an experience as close to nature as possible, as it offers almost exclusively bare pitches, with the exception of a handful of mobile homes. What's more, the prices are very reasonable.
