Mythical solo, non-stop, non-assisted, round-the-world sailing race from Les Sables-d'Olonne
The 10th edition of the non-stop, non-assisted, single-handed round-the-world yacht race will set off from Les Sables-d'Olonne on November 10, 2024. The 9thedition had been turned upside down by the Covid, so the sailors are delighted with this new gathering, as are the many fans. there were 33 skippers. Yannick Bestaven, on Maître Coq, was the first to cross the line in 80 days, 3 hours, 44 minutes and 46 seconds, closely followed by Charlie Dalin and Louis Burton. Jean Le Cam, competing in his5th Vendée Globe, took a fine fourth place.
