PENOTTE ISLAND
Island with an artistic touch, where the facades of the walls are adorned with shell mosaics in Les Sables-d'Olonne.
It is a lovely little corner with an artistic touch where the facades of the walls are decorated with mosaics of shells. It is a sablaise, Danièle Arnaud-Aubin, who in 1997 decided to revive the neighbourhood of her childhood. Thus, with the help of the inhabitants of the district, she decorated for years the walls of the houses with creations based on various shells, from periwinkle to oyster shells, not forgetting scallops and "Chinese hats". In short, a unique fresco that blends into the sandy landscape that must be discovered.
