Visit of the natural harbor in Sables-d'Olonne which dates from the century under the impulse of Louis XI.

Natural harbour that was once called Le Havre-d'Olonne. The fishing port dates from the 15th century under the impulse of Louis XI. At that time, the port of Sablais was the first port for cod fishing. It is currently the most important of the Vendée. The fishing is done by trawling in the Gulf of Biscay and in the Irish Sea. What do we fish? cuttlefish, sole, hake, langoustine, shrimp, sardines, tuna... For a few years now, the number of fishing boats has been decreasing and the port has been filled with pleasure boats.
