In June 2024, Éoliennes en mer Îles d'Yeu et de Noirmoutier won the tender to build and operate an offshore wind farm off the Vendée coast. By the end of 2025, 61 wind turbines will be commissioned. With a total capacity of almost 500 MW, the wind farm will generate the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of around 850,000 inhabitants. Ocean Winds (50/50 ENGIE and EDP Renewables) is the majority shareholder in the EMYN consortium.
