Lake offering an ideal plane for angling and allowing to make beautiful boat trips
Surrounded by a forest of 5 000 hectares, the lake of Mervent extends over an area of 130 hectares. A dam lake, built in 1956, it is part of a group of 3 dams: Pierre Brune on the Mère (upstream tributary) and Albert on the Vendée (upstream). In terms of leisure activities, it offers an ideal stretch of water for angling (carp, pike-perch...), but you can also go for nice boat trips, as well as other sports activities offered by the leisure centre. Don't miss the visit of the village, perched on a rocky spur.
