MUSEUM OF WESTERN PROTESTANT FRANCE
Museum with prayer objects, engravings and portraits of important Protestant figures in the West
In an 18th century dwelling, this museum gathers prayer objects, engravings and portraits of great Protestant figures of the West: Henri IV and the Edict of Nantes, the siege of La Rochelle, Louis XIV and the dragonnades, the clandestine worship in the desert, the exile to the countries of Refuge, Louis XVI and the Edict of Toleration. A preaching pulpit used for clandestine worship during the assemblies of the Desert, rare old Bibles, old manuscripts reinforce the historical interest of the visit.
