MOUCHAMPS CHURCH
Church of Mouchamps, whose Romanesque bell tower is covered with tiles that support figures carved in stone
Former chapel of the castle, from the 11th and 12th centuries, it attests to the ancient medieval site. In 1308, the lord of the park enlarged the chapel by giving it two side aisles reinforced by two granite buttresses. On the right, he had a Romanesque bell tower built, covered with tiles, which supports figures sculpted in stone. In the 15th century, a large flamboyant stained glass window was opened. In the 19th century, two external stone staircases were added to the building, to allow access to the tribunes. The church was restored from 1981 to 1983.
