Visit of the natural site located at Notre-Dame de Monts, the Pont d'Yeu, the 50 m wide rocky strip.
The Yeu bridge is the 50 m wide rocky strip, which juts out into the sea over several kilometres towards the island of Yeu. This natural site emerges at the time of the great equinox tides over a few kilometres for the great pleasure of fishermen on foot in search of shellfish and other crustaceans. Sometimes insularized following the rise of the waters, sometimes attached to the continent during the regression of the sea, this roadway took the name of Yeu Bridge because it faces the island of Yeu, formerly, the local residents also named it Saint-Martin Bridge.
