POZZUOLAN CASTLE
Medieval castle of the 12th century with defensive system, nightly torchlight escapades, animations and medieval workshops offered
This medieval fortress built in the 12th century impresses by the power of its defensive system and its 355 meters of curtain wall. From the top of its 26 meters, the keep was transformed into a residence by Catherine de Thouars, wife of the famous Gilles de Rais, who added elegant sculpted fireplaces and windows with cushioned seats. In summer, take part in the Torchlight Night Getaways for a picturesque discovery of the site and the town. Animations for children with the Medieval Workshops organized every Tuesday! Free access to the park.
