A remarkable historic villa in Saint-Hilaire, a symbol of 1930s seaside architecture.
On the cornice, a villa with an original and singular architecture. Symbol of the seaside architecture of the 1930s, it is a symbol of Italian inspiration. Its square tower, gallery and loggia were designed by its first occupant (from 1921 to 1945), Roger Gonthier, architect of the Paris-Orléans company. It was listed as a historical monument in 1975 and classified as a 20th century heritage site. Since 1945, the villa has belonged to Doctor Buet, and since 2009, it has belonged to the city. The park of Grosse Terre is open to the public.
