A priory located 9 km from Pouzauges, comprising a chapel, chapter house and refectory in excellent condition.
Near Pouzauges, this former monastery of the Grandmontain order, founded around 1197, is one of the best preserved in France. The chapel, chapter house, refectory, kitchen and dining hall are all in excellent condition. The most beautiful pieces from the Grandmont treasure, one of the most fabulous collections of medieval goldsmiths' and silversmiths' work, are represented thanks to an innovative photographic process. Opening time and information on GRAMMONT PRIORY
From June 1st to August 31st, open every day from 10am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 6pm. From September 1st to 20th, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 6pm. Free until 18 years old. Adults: 3 €. Young people from 18 to 26 years old : 2 €. Vendée pass : 21 €.
