GRAMMONT PRIORY
A priory located 9 km from Pouzauges, comprising a chapel, chapter house and refectory in excellent condition.
Near Pouzauges, this former monastery of the Grandmontain order, founded around 1197, is one of the best preserved in France. The chapel, chapter house, refectory, kitchen and dining hall are all in excellent condition. The most beautiful pieces from the Grandmont treasure, one of the most fabulous collections of medieval goldsmiths' and silversmiths' work, are represented thanks to an innovative photographic process. Relive the priory's golden age through an astonishing virtual reconstruction, and share in the daily life of Grandmont's monks. Photographic exhibition on Benin.
