Just a short distance from the city center, in the heart of the Payré estuary, classified as the first remarkable site in the Vendée, this is where the oyster farmers who produce a tasty oyster with the "Vendée Atlantique" label are concentrated. The site has been redeveloped. About twenty oyster farmers work daily to produce nearly 500 tons of oysters per year. Not far from the oyster basins, continue your discovery of the area by visiting the salt marshes of La Guitière. A rich site where salt is harvested and oysters are produced!
